Not far ago Ive started to learn maya scripting, here is one of my first phyton script that was useful for my work.
Useful when you want to export animated mesh object to game engine or alembic.
Script transfers animation from non skinned animated object to joint with skinned object.
Simply select animated mesh object and run script. It should create bind skin for selection, place bone in object center and transfer animation from object to joint. Also script put used selection and bones in "JLOC_Grp" and create quick selection sets for joints and objects.
